Southbrae Resource Centre provides social work and health care services to adults with a learning disabilty who live in the West Community Health and Care Partnership area of Glasgow.

The horticultural programme at Southbrae is delivered in partnership with Anniesland College and includes a full-time course which grows plants for sale in Southbrae’s Garden Centre.

Our summer, autumn and spring bedding plants are grown in the heated greenhouse and then carefully hardened off in preparation for sale. In addition, we have a wide range of herbaceous perennials and shrubs. You can see some of the perennials and shrubs growing in our display gardens.

The garden centre is open to the public from Monday to Friday between 9.30am and 4.00pm and we welcome visitors at all times. There is also a café open between 10.00am and 2.30pm.

All Southbrae Centre service users are involved in the running and maintenance of the garden centre and the programme is further supported by Anniesland College’s Creative Arts School and Business School.
